Refer-a-Friend : Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How many friends can I refer?
A: You can refer up to 20 of your friends each year (a maximum of 10 per 24 hours). And you can earn a £3 gift certificate for each referral as long as the friends you refer are eligible and redeem their gift certificates.

Q: Which of my friends are eligible?
A: All of your friends are eligible as long as they're not already IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk customers or customers of our international stores or Web sites, and have not already been referred by someone else (in the past 12 months).

Q: What happens if I refer a friend who is not eligible?
A: If you refer a friend who is not eligible, they will not receive a referral email and gift certificate. Each e-mail referral placed (this includes eligible, non-eligible and incorrect e-mail addresses) will count as part of your 20 referrals for the year.

Q: What happens if I enter an incorrect email address?
A: You can refer the correct e-mail address as long as you have not reached 20 referrals per rolling year.

Q: What do you mean by rolling year?
A: Your 12 months (one year) will start from the date of your first referral.

Q: Why can't I be told which of my friends are already IslamicGoodsDirect customers?
A: We are committed to protecting our customers' privacy. Therefore we are unable to notify you if your friend is an existing IslamicGoodsDirect customer. Please read the Terms & Conditions of the programme for more details on this.

Q: Will I receive a gift certificate for every friend I introduce?
A: You may not receive a gift certificate for every friend you introduce. Some possible reasons for this include:

• the friend you introduced is already an IslamicGoodsDirect customer
• your friend has already been referred by someone else
• your friend has decided not to place an order
• you have submitted an invalid e-mail address for your friend

Q: How long does my friend have to use their gift certificate?
A: The gift certificate is valid for four weeks from the day it is issued.

Q: How quickly (when) will I receive my gift certificates?
A: This will depend on your friend's response. Please note that even for successful referrals it may take some time to receive your gift certificate. The reasons for this include:

• your friend may not make a purchase at IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk right away
• your friend may order a book with a four to six week delivery time. We will send out your gift certificate only once your friend's complete order has been dispatched

Q: I've referred several friends and have received several gift certificates. Can I use more than one gift certificate per order?
A: The gift certificates that you receive from the Refer-a-Friend programme are promotional gift certificates. These gift certificates are restricted to one gift certificate per order.

Q: My friend has placed an order and received it. Where's my gift certificate?
A: We will dispatch your gift certificate once your friend's complete order has been fulfilled. If there are outstanding items on the order, you will receive your gift certificate as soon as the remaining items have been dispatched.

Q: Is there a minimum purchase requirement when using the gift certificate?
A: Yes. A minimum total order amount of £15 (excluding p&p) is required to apply your gift certificate to your order.

Q: Can I submit group e-mail aliases or e-mail mailing lists as referrals?
A: No. The programme will reject any group e-mail aliases or mailing list e-mails and the Refer-a-Friend e-mail will not be sent out. Please read the Terms & Conditions for more details.

Q: I have received a gift certificate for successfully referring one of my friends. Can you please tell me which one of my friends placed their order so I can thank them
A : Unfortunately, we are unable to provide this information because of our commitment to our customers' privacy

Q: Can I pay in a currency of my choice?
A : Yes, you can select the currency for your shopping and the prices will be automatically converted in your selected currency.

Q: Can I know in advance, how much will be shipping charges for my shopping and what will be total cost of my order?
A : Unless you login to your account and select the delivery method, there is no way to know in advance that what are your shipping charges. At this stage, system will show your shipping charges, goods total, discount, any taxes and order total.

Redeeming your IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk gift certificate is easy. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Select the items you want and add them to your Shopping Basket.

2. Click on the "Proceed to checkout" button. At the Pay section of the progress bar, you'll see a box on the lower part of the page that says "Received a Gift Certificate?

3. Simply enter your claim code in the space provided to redeem your gift certificate. Then click the "Continue" button and complete the order form.
You'll know you have placed your order when you reach a screen that says "Your order has been submitted. Thank you for shopping at IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk!"

The fine print:

a) Limit of one promotional gift certificate per person, per offer and one promotional gift certificate per order. These gift certificates are not valid with other promotional offers.

b) This promotional gift certificate may only be redeemed at our Web site, http://www.IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk, towards the purchase of products listed in IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk's online catalogue sold by IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk. It cannot be redeemed at IslamicGoodsDirect Stores or at our other international websites or at Trusted Partners' sites.

c) Please note that there is a minimum purchase value when redeeming your Refer-a-Friend gift certificate. This gift certificate may only be applied to orders which are to the value of, or greater than, GBP 15 (excluding postage and packing).

f) If your order exceeds the value of your promotional gift certificate, you must pay for the balance with a credit or debit card. Any unused balance will be placed in your gift certificate account until the offer expires. g) This promotional gift certificate has a cash value of GBP 0.001 and is not transferable or assignable.

Refer-a-Friend : Terms & Conditions

By participating in the Refer-a-Friend Programme (the "Programme"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. In particular, you agree to IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk use of your name and e-mail address in e-mails it sends to your Friends and to the limitation of IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk's liability in connection with the Programme.

1. Eligibility

This Programme is open only to existing customers of IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk and on the following Terms & Conditions. No purchase is necessary for current IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk customers to participate in the Programme.

2. Persons Who May be Referred

You must only refer IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk to other individuals that you know personally and who, in your reasonable opinion, would wish to receive an e-mail inviting them to apply for a gift certificate from IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk (a "Friend"). You must not submit group e-mail addresses as a referral or use e-mail mailing lists in making a referral. For the avoidance of doubt, you may not refer yourself in connection with this Programme.

3. Number of Referrals

You may refer up to 20 Friends to IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk under the programme, and only 10 may be referred per 24 hours on the "Refer-a-Friend Start Page". You may only refer each Friend once.

4. Gift Certificates Sent to Friends

IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk will, if it determines in its sole discretion that you have complied with these Terms & Conditions, send on your behalf an e-mail to each Friend that you refer to IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk before the Program closing date which IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk may determine from time to time in its sole discretion, so long as that Friend has not (a) already previously purchased products from IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk, from our international stores, or from out international websites and/or (b) already been referred to IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk by another party. Where a Friend is already registered with IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk, neither the e-mail nor the gift certificate will be sent to that Friend. Because IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk is committed to protecting its customers' privacy, it will not notify you if and when it discovers that a Friend is an existing customer of IslamicGoodsDirect or it’s associated sites or shops .. Nor will it tell you which of your friends has or has not redeemed a gift certificate or purchased products from IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk. The gift certificate that is sent to your friend has a minimum purchase restriction and in order for them to redeem their voucher, he or she must have placed an order with a value equal to or greater than £15 (excluding post and packing).

5. Gift Certificates Sent to You

For each of your Friends that qualifies for, and is sent a gift certificate under this Programme and become a new customer of IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk, IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk will send to you a gift certificate with a face value of £3 (or such other amount that IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk determines in its sole discretion from time to time). This gift certificate has a minimum purchase restriction of £15 (excluding postage and packing). A friend will only be deemed to have become a new customer for the purposes of these Terms & Conditions at the time he or she places the order with IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk. His or her order value must be equal to or greater than £15 excluding postage and packing (provided that IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk ultimately dispatches to that Friend the product(s) under that order) and IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk will not send a gift certificate to you unless and until it dispatches to that Friend, all product(s) purchased under that order. You are entitled to receive up to, but not to exceed, 20 gift certificates per rolling year measured from the date of your first referral.

6. Remedies for Your Non-compliance

If IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk determines in its sole discretion that you have not complied with these Terms & Conditions, it may, in addition to any other rights and remedies it may have against you, immediately and without notice to you, withdraw all benefits to you and your Friends under this Programme (including, without limitation, by cancelling or declining to send any and all gift certificates issued or to be issued to you and to any of your Friends in connection with this Programme, and by declining to send, or stopping from being sent, any Refer-a-Friend e-mails).

7. Your Consent to Use Your Data in E-mails

You grant to IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk your consent for it to use your name and e-mail address for the purposes of sending an e-mail to your Friends in the form displayed on the e-mail preview page (see Step 3 of Refer-a-Friend Welcome Page). You agree not to use any false e-mail addresses or names for this programme.

8.Your Representations and Warranties to Us

You represent and warrant to IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk that you have an existing business or personal relationship with each Friend and that it is your genuine and reasonable opinion that each Friend would wish to receive a gift certificate from IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk. By providing us with the names and e-mail addresses of your Friends, you are affirmatively requesting and authorising IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk to send them an e-mail, as outlined herein, on your behalf.

9. Gift Certificate Terms & Conditions

Each gift certificate issued under this Programme is issued subject to the Gift Certificate Terms & Conditions and will, in the case of gift certificates sent to a Friend, expire within four weeks of the date that IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk sends the e-mail containing the gift certificate to that Friend (or such other time that IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk determines in its sole discretion from time to time).

10. Limitation of Liability for IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED AT LAW, NEITHER ISLAMICGOODSDIRECT.CO.UK NOR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES WILL BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PROGRAMME. THIS IS A COMPREHENSIVE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY THAT APPLIES TO ALL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) COMPENSATORY, DIRECT, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA, INCOME OR PROFIT, LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY AND CLAIMS OF THIRD PARTIES.

11. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions represent the entire agreement between you and IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk with respect to the Programme.

12. Variation of the Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions may be amended or modified by IslamicGoodsDirect.co.uk in its sole discretion at any time. Any such amendments will be posted to this page and it is your responsibility to review this page from time to time for such amendments.

13. Currency and Times

All amounts stated in these Terms & Conditions are in British Pounds and times and dates are based on London UK , time.

14. Severance

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is held to be invalid, such invalidity will not affect the remaining provisions.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of the England, without reference to its choice of law rules, and you irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
