Thousands of children and adults across North America and United Kingdom have been motivated and inspired by Dawud's colourful and initmate presentations - now your family too can sing in your own home as Brother Dawud talks and chants with kids about: Looking at our family history and culture; assessing inner strengths and weaknesses; charity; social awareness; promotion of community activism; importance of a positive attitude; and , acceptance of the differences of others.
This prsentation features rare and live versions of songs from Dawud's various CD's, (adapted for public school audiences and children of all faiths and cultures) including: “Sing, Children of The World”, “Rhythm of Surrender”, “Give a Little”, “Salam – A Piece Of Peace”, and the summer camp favorite, “Moonshadow” by Cat Stevens.
Presentation is approximately 40 minutes in length and appropriate for children ages 6 to 12.
Dawud (David) Wharnsby is an educator, artist, writer and musician who’s recordings (including “A Whisper Of Peace”, “Sunshine, Dust and The Messenger” and “The Prophet's Hands”) and reputation have established him as a virtual institution in the realm of a growing international market of English language Nasheed. He is an executive member of Sound Vision’s creative team and has been Sound Vision’s Audio Director since 1998. As a respected and vibrant solo performer, social activist and motivational speaker, Wharnsby travels extensively throughout the world and is often called upon to lecture at schools and universities, addressing gatherings of all ages with his inspirational presentations and diverse educational programs for children.
